30. Januar 2024: Projet 6000: Les Saisies: Wo Boucles sich schliessen und LIFT NO 6000 - Le Chamois 🍻🍻🍻!!

Vorne La Légette (1865m), hinten.... hmmm was schon wieder?

Nach dem Frühstück verlassen wir Les Deux Alpes und sind froh, dass die Bauern wieder ihrer Arbeit nachgehen und nicht die Autobahn blockieren. Relativ spontan haben wir uns entschieden, heute nach Les Saisies zu fahren und zu versuchen, dort die 6000-er Grenze zu knacken. Ausgerechnet in Les Saisies dem offiziell flachsten Skigebiet der Welt, wie wir bei meinem einzigen Besuch dort auf der ersten Boucle 2006 festgestellt hatten.

Hier schliessen sich gleich mehrere Boucles:

die erste Rückkehr mit der Grande Boucle 2006,
eine Rückkehr ins Beaufort Tal auf dieser Boucle
mein 6000. Lift!

Wir fahren von Beaufort hinauf auf die Hochebene von Les Saisies, das ein Anfänger:innenparadies par excellence mit toller Aussicht sowohl ins Isère-Tal nach Süden als auch zum Mont Blanc nach Norden.

Der Rest der Story ist rasch erzählt: Basierend auf der List der Lifte von meinem Blog und den Angaben von www.lift-world.info suchen wir uns den Weg durch die nichtbefahrenen Lifte, und so war es dann auch eher Zufall, dass es der Le Chamois Lift wurde, wobei schon darauf geachtet wurde, dass es ein richtiger Lift ist und der Name passt: Chamois bedeutet "Gemse", und die kommen noch besser den Berg hinauf als die Lifte.

Nach getaner Arbeit fahren wir nach Megève, von dem ich ja gehört habe, dass es mondän sein soll - aber wie sehr es das ist hat mich dann schon ein bisschen überrascht.

After breakfast, we leave Les Deux Alpes and are glad that the farmers are back at work and not blocking the highway. Relatively spontaneously, we decided to drive to Les Saisies today and try to break the 6000-Lift limit there. Of all places, Les Saisies is officially the flattest ski resort in the world, as we discovered on my only visit there on the first Boucle in 2006.

Several boucles come together here:

the first return with the Grande Boucle 2006,
a return to the Beaufort Valley on this boucle
my 6000th lift!

We drive from Beaufort up to the plateau of Les Saisies, a beginner's paradise par excellence with great views of both the Isère valley to the south and Mont Blanc to the north.

The rest of the story is quickly told: Based on the list of lifts from my blog and the information from www.lift-world.info, we find our way through the lifts that I have not skied 2006, and so it was more by chance that it turned out, that the Le Chamois chairlift will be the No 6000, although a little care was taken to ensure that it was a proper lift and that the name was appropriate: "Chamois" - is it the same in english? - are like mountain goats and they get up the mountain even better than the lifts.

After our work is done, we drive to Megève, which I've heard is supposed to be chic - but I was a little surprised at how much it is.
