25 Minuten nach meiner Abfahrt in Tschiertschen stelle ich das Auto auf dem Parkplatz der Bergbahnen Chur-Brambrüesch in mitten von Chur ab. Wer dort parkiert spart sich die Parkgebühren, wen man die Autonummer auf einer roten Tafel notiert. Weil bei mir die Bahn gleich gefahren ist hab ich das vergessen - ein Anruf an die Talstation hat dieses Versäumnis wieder korrigiert. Vielen Dank!
Die moderne Seilbahn führt knapp 600m hinauf bis zum Känzeli. Der Sinn dieser Zwischenstation entzieht sich mir, es gibt dort eine tolle Aussicht, aber mehr als Umsteigen gibts dort nicht. Immerhin gehts mit einer antiquierten Gondelbahn weiter. (Während ich herausgefunden habe, dass die Bahn 1998 ersetzt wurde wirken die Gondeln selbst immer noch wie aus 1957). In Brambrüesch dann muss ich einen Skibus nehmen, um bis zur Talstation des Skilifts zu gelangen, der mich dann zur Talstation des Sessellifts weiter oben bringt. Merkt ihr was? Zuerst viel Aufwand, um überhaupt bis zur Skipiste zu gelangen, und dann steht da völlig atypisch zuerst ein Skilift und erst dann der Sessellift, während es auf der ganzen Welt sonst umgekehrt ist. Das Skifahren oben lebt dann von der Aussicht übers Rheintal und die Lenzerheide und auch ein bisschen von den coupierten Pisten. Die Abfahrt von Brambrüesch bis zum Känzeli ist vom Suchen geprägt, denn die Markierungen sind zuerst nicht vorhanden und dann kaum sichtbar. Es scheint nicht, als würde man der eigentlich interessanten Piste viel Bedeutung zumessen. Und das zeigt wiederum, dass das an und für sich toll gelegene Hausgebiet von Chur viele Probleme zu lösen hat. Eine Verbindung nach Pradaschier (Chruwalden) und Feldis scheint durchaus machbar, es braucht sogar nur einen Lift (Link).
Was für ein Potential für die Hauptstadt Graubündens, kaum zu glauben, dass das noch nicht genutzt wurde. Und dann gibt es vielleicht die Chur Card wie in Innsbruck auch für Touristen und nicht nur für Einheimische (Ski plus City) - room for improvement ist also vorhanden, nur das in der Schweiz vorherrschende Gärtchendenken muss noch überwunden werden.

25 minutes after my departure in Tschiertschen, I park the car in the parking lot of the Chur-Brambrüesch lifts in the center of Chur. If you park there, you save the parking fee if you write down your car number on a red board. The modern cable car climbs 600m up to the middle station Känzeli. I do not get the meaning of this intermediate station, there is a great view, but there is nothing more than changing trains. At least it continues with an antiquated gondola. (While I found out that the cable car was replaced in 1998, the gondolas themselves still look like from 1957). Then in Brambrüesch I have to take a ski bus to get to the bottom station of the ski lift, which then takes me to the bottom station of the chair lift further up. I guess you notices: First it takes a lot of effort to get to the ski slope at all, and then there is completely atypically first a ski lift before a chair lift, while it is usually the other way around in the rest of the world.
The skiing at the top is living from the view over the Rhine valley and the Lenzerheide and also a little bit from the couped slopes. The descent from Brambrüesch to Känzeli is characterized by a big search, because the markings are first not present and then hardly visible. It doesn't seem that much importance is given to what is actually an interesting slope. And this again shows that the great situated home area of Chur has many problems to solve. A connection to Pradaschier (Chruwalden) and Feldis seems quite feasible, it even needs only one additional lift.
What a potential for the capital of Graubünden, hard to believe that this has not been used yet. And who know, then there might be also the Chur Card possible, as it is in Innsbruck, also for tourists and not only for locals (Ski plus City) - there is room for improvement, only the typical Swiss silo thinking must still be overcome.
